High definition flexo exposure system · Digital Quality at Analog Prices Features - With the patent pending eXact Feature Tuned Reflector Technology, virtually all of the cool UV illumination from the 5000 watt plasma source is converted to a multitude of 30 degree exposure cones before it exposes the plate. The result is high definition flexo plate quality because highlight shoulders stand up and reverses do not fill in. Exposure is consistent from edge to edge of the plate. Ease of Use - The automated flip top design allows the operator to load the job and forget it. Load the plate for front exposure, then select the exposure times using manual or pre-programmed settings. The back exposure is made through the glass surface then the unit flips to expose the front. The risk of plate damage and contamination caused by unnecessary handling is eliminated. eXact alerts you when the job is complete. Cool UV - The UV plasma source is contained in a closed loop liquid cooled system that eliminates heat and harmful radiation inherent in UV exposing devices. eXact delivers cool, safe UV to the plate. High Definition Quality - The key to perfect features is angular control of illumination. Unwanted light outside the 30 degree exposure cone causes shoulder degradation, plugs shadows and fills reverses. With eXact, plate features are digital quality and floor depths are consistent across the plate. Digitally Integrated Plasma Source - The UV plasma source is digitally integrated and provides exposure consistency plate to plate throughout its life. The system alerts the operator when lamp replacement is pending. Inexpensive and Easy to Maintain - Rather than replacing multiple fluorescent tubes, the single plasma source can be changed by the operator in minutes at a fraction of the cost.

Scanning Exposure System · Increases Digital and Analog Plate Quality Features - With the same award winning eXact exposure technology as the well known eXact 3040, the eXact 5280 SE unveils the next breakthrough in flexo plate exposure technology. Rather than fixed type light sources and reflectors, the 5280 SE employs a scanning exposure head for even better plate quality. Whether it is an analog plate exposure or digital exposure, the quality will significantly increase. The angle of light from the patented, cool UV exposure head is controlled when it is delivered to the plate. There is no stray light to cause wider shoulders. The result is high definition flexo plate quality because highlights stand up and reverses do not fill in. Exposure is consistent from edge to edge with no fall off. Chilled Bed - Heat is the enemy of photopolymers during the exposure cycle. With a chilled bed the plate stays at a constant temperature well below the temperature of where the photopolymer is affected. Cool UV - In addition to the chilled bed, the dual UV plasma sources are contained in a closed loop, liquid cooled system that eliminates heat and harmful radiation inherent in UV exposing devices. eXact delivers cool, safe UV to the plate. High Definition Quality - The key to perfect features is angular control of illumination. Stray light causes shoulder growth, plugs shadows and fills reverses. With eXact, analog plate features are digital quality and floor depths are consistent across the plate. The controlled light is also beneficial to digital plates. It enables designers to create near linear images not previously possible in CTP workflows. Digitally Integrated Plasma Sources - The UV plasma sources are digitally integrated providing exposure consistency plate-to-plate throughout its life. Time is adjusted to compensate for any variations in the output guaranteeing that the precise amount of UV is delivered to the plate. Inexpensive and Easy to Maintain - Rather than replacing multiple fluorescent tubes, the dual plasma sources can be changed by the operator in minutes at a fraction of the cost. |
